In this class, we will look at C.S. Lewis’ book The Abolition of Man. We will look at how current culture damaged the view of God, the world, and ourselves, which has in turn led to everything from the modern confusion of personal identity to the seeming ineffectiveness of reasoned arguments for our faith. In turn, we will work to show how beauty might renew our sense of self and give us a richer sense of how to engage an unbelieving world.
